Description
The Arc Madison Cortland is looking for a full-time, energetic, organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant position works closely with other accounting staff, program teams and the integrated business team and is an integral part of the financial close and reporting process for the Agency and its affiliates.
SUMMARY: Perform accounting duties for a wide variety of agency assignments, including reconciliations and financial reporting for the Agency and its affiliates.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 3-5 years experience. Proficient in MS Office with intermediate Excel and data analysis skills. Strong organizational, time management, written and verbal skills required as well as a high level of attention to detail combined with analytical problem solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within and outside of the agency. Strong understanding of general business principles. Exposure to multi-company environment. Experience with OMH, Medicaid, state funding streams and various billing and accounting software programs including CFR preparation.
